Founder + CEO
Eve spent much of her childhood overseas. The daughter of a diplomat, she spent the early years of her life moving often, living in Kenya, Jamaica, and Australia. After earning her undergraduate degree from NYU, she moved to Rome, Italy. She spent the next two years traveling throughout Europe and discovered a love of architecture and design. In 1997 she returned to the United States, choosing San Francisco as the place to lay down roots and return to school to study interior design. After earning her degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, she worked for several architecture and design firms in San Francisco before starting her own design practice. Traveling often to Italy to source hard-to-find products, Eve was determined to find a more accessible way to share her passion for contemporary Italian design with her local design community. She opened DZINE in 2004 to do just that. What started out as a small boutique shop has now grown to one of the largest, most respected showrooms in America. Eve’s desire to maintain strong, personal connections with many of the manufacturers DZINE represents, has allowed the showroom to become a home to a number of small, family owned companies. More recently, DZINE has opened its doors to promote local artists and makers with DZINE Gallery, along with offering its space to local charities and causes, furthering its mission to make connections between people, design, art, and community.
